Yoobi needed a fresh new look and feel for the living wall in their Los Angeles headquarters. LA designer of Florals by Mitzi created an inventive angled pattern of tropical plants including anthurium, variegated pothos, schefflera, and bromeliads. A new jungle is ready to grow!
The pockets of the Florafelt System made the update easy, since rearranging the wall is as simple as slipping in new plants. Like the most far-sighted gardening plans, the new wall will evolve in unique and unexpected ways.
As this project demonstrates, the Florafelt Pocket System makes inventive ideas come to life with ease, even years after installation. Made from recycled, non-toxic plastic water bottles, the pockets are durable, simple to clean, and provide ultimate creativity for new ideas.
The beautiful reclaimed wood frame, installed with the living wall in 2011 by designer Tucker Warner is still providing a dramatic stage. A tank and pump provide a simple but effective irrigation system.
