Living walls inspire people the world over! Here’s another great review:
“You’d be surprised at the number of positive comments and questions I get regarding the wall. We live at the top of Twin Peaks in a heavily touristed area due to the dramatic views of the city. There’s not a week that goes by where a few people don’t stop and ask how the garden works, many of them from foreign countries. I installed the automatic watering and feeding systems just as explained from the web site, so I’m able to say it is the easiest part of the garden for upkeep. Thanks again for the great product.”
Davis Dalbok and his keen team from Living Green created a vertical garden masterpiece for a penthouse garden overlooking lively downtown San Francisco. This wildly imaginative collection of succulents, grasses, ferns and others delightfully frames a gilded centerpiece.
Designer Brandon Pruett of Living Green creates a vertical garden masterpiece with shade-loving coral bells, ferns and grasses with the Florafelt vertical garden system. He chose colors that added a vibrant and exciting touch to this Pacific Heights home in San Francisco.
The vertical garden was donated by Chris Bribach of Plants On Walls. Florafelt Vertical Garden Planters were hung from Unistrut members that were clamped to the building. Volunteers at the conservatory added exotic species of plants and also care for the vertical garden.
Experience plants at this hair salon’s vertical garden washing station. Brian of Population Hair Salon in San Francisco’s hip NOPA district asked Chris Bribach of Plants On Walls to create a plant wall for his new salon. Florafelt planters were filled with a jungle of tropical plants. Big roots have emerged from the garden showing maturity.
A year ago, PlantsOnWalls installed a 14″ x 12″ living wall with 360 individual ferns using Florafelt pocket planters for Urban Bistro in Burlingame, California. Now we’re back to see how they’ve grown. A close look at the blue star fern shows some expansion of its unusual root system.
BLUE STAR FERN (phlebodium aureum mandaianum): The Blue Star Fern is a beautiful but rugged fern that makes a vivid accent for your vertical garden. After a few years, the fuzzy orange roots begin to crawl over the felt pockets, creating even more dynamic color contrasts.
The fantasy-blue color of this easy-to-grow fern is reminiscent of nautical and water-related design, and make it a stunning addition to living walls. The oversized fronds make a bold canvas for the truly striking color. Best grown in shade to part shade, this is a very forgiving fern, provided it is not overwatered, and shows good drought tolerance.
