The living wall integrates with the water catchment system
“Thanks Plants On Walls for all your help. Love your Florafelt product. Our Florafelt Pockets living wall is filling in nicely. Building this atrium was my retirement project and took a year to complete. All of the plants are irrigated with collected rain water and fed using Koi pond water. The off-grid water system makes this ideal project for Southern California.” – Jack Barkley
Florafelt Vertical Garden by Adam Clark at his live/work event space Outpost India Basin in San Francisco. Made with two 12-Pocket Florafelt Vertical Garden Planters. Watered by an automatic hose timer and drip line at top. Moisture drains into a section of plastic gutter directed to a glass jug. Excess water is collected and reused for potted plants.
Chris and Gary used a 12-Pocket Florafelt Vertical Garden Planter to create an easy care succulent display for their San Francisco balcony. Succulents are great for saving water and can be hand watered weekly.
Certain Hollywood stars are well-known for their passion for the environment, including actress Jessica Alba, who lives and breathes it. This celebrity advocate proves that each of us can make a major contribution right in our own homes and in our daily lives.
Living walls inspire people the world over! Here’s another great review:
“You’d be surprised at the number of positive comments and questions I get regarding the wall. We live at the top of Twin Peaks in a heavily touristed area due to the dramatic views of the city. There’s not a week that goes by where a few people don’t stop and ask how the garden works, many of them from foreign countries. I installed the automatic watering and feeding systems just as explained from the web site, so I’m able to say it is the easiest part of the garden for upkeep. Thanks again for the great product.”
