Angelica Cook of Echeverias and More builds a succulent masterpiece for M on High Restaurant in Moorpark, California. Velvety pale purple hues mixed with soft sage greens float on the existing fence, which provides a natural wood frame. Cascading fishhook succulents add a dash of opulence to this beautiful, water saving, eco-friendly living wall.
She used Florafelt Grow Fabric to create high-density planting rows using our patented Draped Living Wall method. The plants are bundled together in Florafelt Wraps then placed densely in the rows. Drip irrigation runs across the top, timed to water for maximum efficiency with little waste.
A similar effect can be created using lightweight and slim Florafelt Pocket Panels that have a rigid waterproof backing. This is a much easier approach for a surface mounted living wall that can simply be hung on hooks creating an invisible background to showcase the designer’s vision.
Easy to maintain and strikingly original, this succulent wall will thrive in the southern California sun, producing a bounty of brilliant flowers for diners to enjoy.
