An ingenious living wall installation
Homeowner and handyman Bruce Spencer created a custom recirculating living wall for his home entrance using a Florafelt 12-Pocket Panel with a wood frame. He shares his secrets below.

Bruce describes how he did it
Our garage is on the other side of the stucco wall entrance. The plastic water tank is under my garage workbench behind a cabinet door.

The wire for the electrical timer connects to the pump in the tank. The return water tube is also visible at the left top corner of the tank.

The irrigation line hangs at the top right. The drain tray was fabricated by cutting an aluminum pipe in half lengthwise with a bandsaw.

Two eye bolts hold the vertical garden firmly to the wall.

Water return line. I made another hole a bit higher up for the irrigation line from the pump to the planter.

This photo shows both lines that irrigate and drain from the living wall.

Ready to hang and plant!
